a little background

Grant was born in South Africa, in 1968. He and his family came to Melbourne in 1980, were he has been pursuing his passion for music ever since. Initially working as a solo musician playing piano bars, cafes and private parties, he soon started playing in small groups and expanding his musical horizons.

After forming a jazz trio, his own writing started to incorporate some improvisational flavours and the '“Be Yourself” Album was born. His solo shows include a wonderful blend of heartfelt ballads, soul-jazz and some rock/pop numbers.

Grant’s next show will be at Kindred studios and will be an intimate concert-style show featuring originals and some carefully chosen covers. He will be joined by his long-time collaborator Dale McMahon.

The evening will be a single set of 75 minutes and you are welcome to stay for a drink afterwards. Book with the button below. Cost is $25 and it is a seated show (small venue that holds about 50 people)
